As we took a morning walk through Rowayton, Connecticut today we notice quite few renovation projects beginning and going on. It is nice to see the construction service picking up, with a new restaurant almost completed, a few home additions and renovations it seems like work is picking up. The same can be said for Darien, Connecticut as you drive through town you will see a couple of commercial projects in construction phase. Darien building permits are up 28 percent in the third quarter compared to 2009. This seems to be a good sign that maybe Fairfield County Ct. is on the rebound. In this weekend’s Wall Street Journal there is an article; US Sees Surprise Growth in Jobs with some of the strongest gains in October coming from the business and professional service sectors, which added 46,000 positions, retail industry adding 28,000 and Construction payrolls adding 5,000.
